September 11th 1945 Chosun Geographical Society was established and Do Tae Kim took up the first president at the inaugural meeting
Oct-55 Bok Hyun Choi took up the president
Nov-49 The name is changed from Chosun Geographical Society to the Korean Geographical Society
Aug-60 Joined IGU
1975 Society's 30 th anniversary celebration
1992 27 th IGU general meeting decided to held 29 th IGU general meeting in Seoul
Sep-95 Society's 50 th anniversary celebration
September 15 th 1995 Registered as a corporation aggregate under Ministry Construction & Transportation
Aug-00 Held 29 th IGU general meeting
Sep-01 The society office is moved to Rm 1102, Gwan Ak Century Tower, Bong Chun 4-dong, Gwan Ak Gu, Seoul
